What changes do you see in yourself through meditation?
When I meditate I become more detached from any precarious situation, more open-hearted, I am able to return hostility with kindness and forgiveness. It gives patience and strength but most of all a wonderful state of inner peacefulness and joy engulfs me!
What is your advice to students who want a quick solution?
Sahaja Yoga is not a mere form of relaxation or concentration. It is for the person who is seeking for truth, who wants to really understand himself, the world, and the nature of his/her existence. Who dares to ask the big questions in life. In that sense Sahaja Yoga is actually quite a magic solution, as with time and a bit of dedication one will find that the answers and solutions start presenting themselves to you quite spontaneously! But what I mostly want to say is that if you stick with it for some time, the benefits will be very great! The only requirement is that simple discipline of making it a part of your day. I wish you the best of luck on your journey!
What is the most important lesson you learned from Shri Mataji?
It’s really hard to come up with a single most important lesson, I feel like I learn countless new lessons time and again. But if anything, I’ve learned that my essence is nothing but a reflection of the divine; that spark of unconditional love for everyone and everything, and that my aim is to grow it and let it be expressed more and more.
